Safety Guide
Although using your Heelys skate shoes is extremely enjoyable, there is a learning curve. Skating with Heelys is a sport, and the key is to learn how to heel safely and properly.
- While using protective gear cannot guarantee your safety, it could greatly reduce your chances of injury. We therefore always recommend wearing full protective gear when using your Heelys skate shoes including: helmet, wrist guards, knee pads, and elbow pads.
- Make sure all your protective safety equipment is not cracked, broken, or damaged in way. If you have any single-use gear (particularly a helmet) that gets damaged impact, make sure you replace it immediately.
- Only use a helmet that fits you properly and keep it fastened. Never wear the strap too loose around your chin in order to prevent it from shifting or falling off.
- Make sure the wheels are not obstructed. This could include rocks, paper, or any other objects that could be lodged in the wheelbase.
- Check the laces to make sure they are not worn out nor have tears. Always keep your laces tied while skating for a smooth ride.
- Make sure the wheels are not worn down, have dents or cracks. If you notice any of these problems or any other damages, be sure to replace the wheels before you skate.
- Be sure to avoid cracks and skate only on smooth, stable, dry surfaces.
- DO NOT SKATE OVER ROCKS, SAND, OR WATER.
Once you have your Heelys protective gear and Heelys on, practice braking to make sure you can stop at any time necessary. If you need to stop or slow down quickly, practice transitioning from skating to walking or stopping by simply putting your toes down.

Learn How to Heely
Step 1
Start on a smooth, flat surface with your feet shoulder width apart.
Step 2
Take a step and push with your back foot. Lift the toes of your front foot so only the wheel is touching.
Step 3
Now do the same with your back foot – you should be smooth rolling along the floor!
Step 4
To stop, lift your toes of both feet up so your heels are touching the floor.
Make sure you keep one foot in front of the other – usually your dominant foot will be in front. If you need help, ask someone to pull you along until you get the hang of it.

Great Color Way
Love these, great color way, pretty comfy. The specialty laces are a nice touch too. Been having a lot of fun picking out outfits for these. As far as rolling function is concerned, I'll have to get back to you. These are my first pair of Heely's, so I'm working up the courage to go gliding. I mainly bought them cause they're super cute. FYI, I'm a men's 7.5 in Vans, so I got the 9W. They're snug but ok width wise, but a little loose in the back. If I size down I think the width will be too tight.

They look great!
I bought them as a gift for a 6.5 woman. I sized it up to the 7 women's, so I ordered the 6Y/7W, but they were too big, so I will reorder them one size down and hope for the best. The return process is a multi-step process, but I hope the smaller size works out. The shoes do look great though!
